SUNDAY WORSHIP
Mar 1 @ 10:00a
The Birth of Jesus (Luke 2:1-20)
It’s a story which most are familiar with. We sing songs about it. Movies are made about it. We celebrate it for the whole month of December. But when Jesus was born, there were no decorations, no presents, no big meals, no TV specials or football games. With the exception of the census, it was a normal day in the little town of Bethlehem. And then something amazing happened, the Son of God was born to bring hope to the needy—to you and me if we will just humble ourselves and accept Him as Savior and make Him Lord of our lives.
WORSHIP AT THE RUTHERFORD
Mar 1, 2p
This is an opportunity to brighten the day of the residents at The Rutherford Assisted Living. You can sing a song, lead a devotion, lead a craft, serve a snack, sit and talk, and more. See Gary Young to volunteer or to get more details.
SPRING CLEANING WORKDAY
March 21, 8a-12p
We need to clean out the bays, so bring shovels, wheelbarrows and blowers. We need pressure washers to clean the building and sidewalks. We need to pick up downed limbs and other landscaping. We need to do some other landscaping and planting (we’ll supply the plants and tools for that). If we’ve got time, we need to paint handicap zone and quest parking. I’m sure there will be other things that need to be done, so just come and help.
PRAISE AND HYMN SING (w/dessert fellowship)
Mar 22, 4p
Come, enjoy and participate in a time of worship. We will have congregation singing as well as special music by Chord of Three, Reunion, Tony Anderson, Dustin Sanders, Tonya Evans and others. We will have a dessert fellowship to follow. The price of admission some paper products (plates, bowls, paper towels, solo cups) that we will take to the MTSU BCM. They feed over 100 international students each week and go through a lot of paper products.
VBS PROJECTS
I know! We’re already thinking about VBS (June 14-18). As such, to spread out the work, Beth will have various projects that you can take home and bring back. See Beth at the table in the foyer to see what you can do to help prepare for a great VBS. Don’t forget to order your VBS t-shirt.
ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING EVENT
March 15, 4p @ Crossway Baptist Church
Crossway is hosting the Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition City-Wide “Educate to Recognize” Conference. This is for ALL teens, young adults, parents, grandparents, and community leaders. The Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition, along with TBI, will spend the afternoon at Crossway teaching how to protect kids, teens, and young adults online and out in the community, how to filter dangerous websites, and what grooming looks like. You will hear from TBI agents who are fighting this issue every day right here in Murfreesboro. You will hear testimonies from victims who have been rescued and recovered from human trafficking. NAHT will meet with teens to help them learn how to protect themselves and recognize dangerous situations.
