The Messiah’s Baptism (Luke 3:15-20)
I have said many times, “Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change.” However, I am not the only one or the first one to say that. John the Baptist said it in a much deeper way. He said that The Messiah’s Baptism is really what matters because it is significantly higher than his water baptism. And nothing has changed. Have you been physically baptized? Good! But it doesn’t matter if you have not received The Messiah’s Baptism which is spiritual.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING
During the month of April
I have to be honest with you – I forgot to promote the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) for our North American Mission Board (NAMB) and missionaries last Sunday. So, we will focus on it every Sunday for the rest of the month by watching a short video of different NAMB missionaries at the conclusion of our worship services during the month of April. Click on these links if you’d like more information on NAMB or AAEO. Also, prayerfully consider how much God wants you to give to this important offering.
SPRING CLEANING AT THE MTSU BCM
April 18, 8a-12p
We are going over to help do some cleaning at the BCM (2535 Middle Tennessee Blvd, but parking is around back). We will be doing things like picking up sticks, pressure washing sidewalks, cleaning the courtyard windows, deep clean/re-org the kitchen, deep clean the gathering areas, and spackling holes. They have brooms, mops, all-purpose spray, gloves, vacuum, paper towels, magic erasers, etc. for general cleaning. We will need a couple of pressure washers & hoses and if someone has a carpet/upholstery cleaner for tough spots, that would be great. Bring any other equipment that you have that you think will make us more effective. We will stop at Noon for lunch that will be provided by the Hennigar’s.
