The Temptation of Jesus (Luke 4:1-13)
After Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan Rive by John the Baptist and the celebration of the Holy Trinity at the beginning of Jesus’ earthly ministry, Jesus was compelled by the Holy Spirit to go into the wilderness for forty days where He was tempted by the devil. It was more than a three and done scenario, but this Sunday we will look at three temptations that are common to most if not all people.
VBS WORKDAY

We’re going to be building directions for VBS. No special skills necessary. Meet in the Fellowship Hall.
TILES AND LIGHTS

We need a small team that is willing to replace ceiling tiles and clean light fixtures in the foyer. If you can help, please see Jerry Posey.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING
During the month of April
For the month of April, we are focusing on the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) for our missionaries with the North American Mission Board (NAMB). Prayerfully consider how much God wants you to give to this important offering. Be sure to use an offering envelope and write AAEO on it. If you give online, please select the AAEO fund.
MAY MISSION PROJECT
During the month of May
We will be collecting baby wipes to take to Portico. Please leave your donations in the containers in the foyer.
GO-N-SOW REPORT
I just want you to know that this past Sunday, 4 teams of 10 people talked to or left packets (that included the Gospel of John and The Compass: April edition) at 55 homes. Pray God’s promise that His Word will not come back void. And, I invite you to join us next month (May 17) as we continue to Go into the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
UPPERVILLE, VA MISSION TRIP
July 11-17
If you are interested in going on the trip, please let me know so I can start planning. Cost will be approximately $300 per person for the week.
