SUNDAY WORSHIP
June 11 @ 10:00a
Jesus Forgives (Luke 5:17-26)
This is a story that is familiar to many of us. Although it is a story of the healing of a paralytic man, it is so much more. It is the story of Action and Disbelief. Which do we identify with? I know what we all probably would say, “Action.” But does our life demonstrate action?

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
What a great week we are having at Vacation Bible School! I want to say thank you to everyone that has helped to make it a great week. I don’t want to start naming people because I know I’ll forget someone, but I will say, and I hope you will join me, Thank You to Beth Henegar for coordinating all this, and with a bad back, this year! We may not have the biggest VBS in the county, but we definitely have one of the best! May God bless you for your service to His Kingdom work.

GRASS CUTTING NEEDED
The guy, Daniel Williams, that does such an amazing job keeping the church’s grass cut and looking good is going on vacation the week of July 5. If you can volunteer to cut the grass that week, Thursday, Friday or Saturday - depending on the weather, would you please let me know.

SMALL GROUPS
  • If you don’t attend a small group on a regular basis, I encourage you to give one a try. Studies repeatedly show that we need regular interaction with other Christians to grow in our faith.
  • We shouldn’t be surprised by this as the early church modeled community and it grew by leaps and bounds (Acts 2:42-47). We are called to care for (Galatians 6:2) and encourage (Hebrews 10:24-25) each other and that is difficult to do in large group settings. Maybe most importantly, it’s hard to love someone that you don’t know and we are commanded to love one another (John 13:34-35).
  • There are several small group options for you. The children and youth have dedicated classes, but adults can choose. On Sunday mornings we meet from 8:45-9:45a and on Wednesday night from 6:15-7:00p. We study the Bible, prayer and support one another as we do life together. I encourage you be an active part of one of our groups.

PLASTIC BAGS NEEDED
The Daycare needs plastic bags – the kind you get from Kroger and Walmart. You can leave them in the container across from the library.
