SUNDAY WORSHIP
July 5 @ 10:00a
The New and The Old (Luke 5:33-39)
In this week’s message, we will explore Jesus’ teaching on the “new and the old” from Luke 5, where He responds to criticism about feasting instead of fasting. Jesus reveals that following Him is about a joyful relationship rather than empty religious rituals. Using the illustrations of a wedding celebration, a new patch, and new wine in fresh wineskins, Jesus shows that He did not come to patch up the old system but to establish the New Covenant. Because Christ dwells in His people, we now enjoy God's presence, lasting joy, and a transformed life that continually grows in Him. The challenge for each of us is to embrace the "new" life Christ offers rather than clinging to the old ways that can never bring true spiritual fullness.
JOY CLUB LUNCHEON
July 8, 11a
First, notice the time change. We are moving it up thirty minutes to accommodate our guest speaker that has another obligation early afternoon. Our guest speaker will be talking about America and our Semiquincentennial Anniversary Celebration. Anyone is welcome to attend this luncheon. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or see Teresa Franlkin to see what sides you can bring to go with BBQ. And desserts are always welcomed.
YOUTH DINNER & SWIMMING
July 8, 5:30-7:30p
The youth group will be going to Russ & Amy Hudson’s for dinner and swimming. If you need a ride, please let Mr. Jerry or me know and we will get you a ride.
UPPERVILLE MISSION TRIP
July 11-17
Our mission team will be leaving about 7a this Saturday. Pray for safety as we travel and that we will be able to make a God-sized impact on the church and community.
BETHLEHEM IN JULY
Last year was rough on our Marketplace set and we need to replace several things like a tent, flooring and transitions. We are going to need about $1,300 extra this year. So, we are going to take up a special offering on the last Sunday of July. Of course, if you want to donate before that, you can, just mark your envelope with BMP.
