Listen to the Word (Luke 8:1-21)
In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus reminds us that hearing God's Word is not the same as truly receiving it. He describes four kinds of hearts: those hardened to the truth, those whose faith is shallow, those distracted by life's worries and pleasures, and those who welcome His Word and allow it to take root. The difference is revealed in the fruit their lives produce. But Jesus' message goes beyond simply listening—His followers are called to put His Word into practice and let its light shine for others. So, how are we listening? Are we merely hearing God's Word, or are we allowing it to transform the way we live?

If you have a picture of yourself or family members that are veterans in uniform, please bring those pictures with you. Bring chili, soups, sandwiches, sides and desserts to share. Please sign up at the Welcome Center with what you are brining. After lunch, we will have a quest speaker, Jerry Parker, who will be talking about WWII.

Shoeboxes are now available in the foyer. Don’t forget to follow the instructions and include your shipping donation. The last day to turn in your shoebox is Nov 15.

HOMELESS SUPPLIES
Our Ladies Ministry is collecting items to create supply bags for the homeless: gloves, toboggans, individual tissues, ChapStick, peanut butter crackers, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and anything individual. Please place your donations in the tote by the Women’s Table (near the foyer restrooms).
