SUNDAY WORSHIP

The final prayer that Jesus prayed was not just for the disciples, it was for anyone who would believe in Him one day. His prayer is for people like you and me. The essence of His request is that His followers would be one, as He and the Father are one. Resurrection hope comes from knowing that in the midst of a divided world, we can trust that the love of Jesus knows no bounds.
JOY CLUB

Calling all senior adults (whether you feel like it or not), to come together for a time of food and fellowship. This month the group is going out to eat at DJ's Pizza & Steak House in Woodbury. Be there by 11:30a and if you want to carpool, meet at the church by 11a. Please sign up by May 11 so reservations can be made.
GRADUATION CELEBRATION
Matthew Nevills will be graduating from Rockvale High School on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Matthew’s family (Terry & Wanda Robbins are his grandparents) would like to extend the following invitation. “Please join us for a celebration of Matthew on Saturday, May 17 from 2:00-4:00pm in the gymnasium at Southeast Baptist Church. Matthew will be studying sports media at Middle Tennessee State University in the fall.”
DEACON NOMINATIONS
During the month of May
Pray about who you feel God is calling to serve as a deacon at Southeast. Ballots and qualifications are available in the foyer. You can place your completed ballot in the offering plate or in the ballot box in the foyer.
MISSION TRIP
July 12-19
We will be conducting VBS at night (Sun-Thu) and work projects during the day (Mon-Thu). Friday will be our free day to have some fun. You must have completed the sixth grade to go on this trip. The cost is $350, which will include everything except four road trip meals and any snacks or souvenirs. The deadline to sign up is June 1st with a $100 deposit. Please see me if you have any questions or to sign up.

Lori and I will be out of town a lot for the next couple of weeks. We are going on vacation to Orlando to visit with our oldest daughter, Molli Kate, from May 13-16. Then we are leaving for our pre-mission trip to Virginia on the afternoon of May 18 and will return on the 23rd. So, we won’t be missing any Sunday’s, but if you need me during those dates, please understand I will be out of state.
But I look forward to seeing you at church this Sunday as we conclude our Resurrection series and celebrate Mother’s Day. Love God—Love People! – pastor joe
