Jesus reveals that following Him is about a joyful relationship rather than empty religious rituals. Using the illustrations of a wedding celebration, a new patch, and new wine in fresh wineskins, Jesus shows that He did not come to patch up the old system but to establish the New Covenant. Because Christ dwells in His people, we now enjoy God's presence, lasting joy, and a transformed life that continually grows in Him. The challenge for each of us is to embrace the "new" life Christ offers rather than clinging to the old ways that can never bring true spiritual fullness.

JOY CLUB LUNCHEON
July 8, 11a
First, notice the time change. We are moving it up thirty minutes to accommodate our guest speaker that has another obligation early afternoon. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or see Teresa Franlkin to see what sides you can bring to go with BBQ. And desserts are always welcomed.

YOUTH DINNER & SWIMMING
July 8, 5:30-7:30p
The youth group will be going to Russ & Amy Hudson’s for dinner and swimming. Being good becomes second nature. It is too easy for Christian believers to forget that they are sinners—yes, justified, but still, in themselves, weak and vulnerable. “We all stumble in many ways” (James 3:2). We begin to think that the sinners are “out there,” not in the church. Church becomes an elite club that few on the outside want to join, even if they could.

PLASTIC BAGS NEEDED
The Daycare needs plastic bags – the kind you get from Kroger and Walmart.
