SUNDAY WORSHIP

This Sunday, we will continue our worship series titled Who Are You? We are looking at Peter’s first letter that he wrote to encourage new Christians who were experiencing persecution. He was encouraging them as to who they were in Jesus Christ. Although we are not facing persecution for our faith, the points that Peter was making is still very applicable for Christians today. This Sunday we will look at the unpopular subject of CHANGE.
MEMBERS LUNCHEON
July 27 @ 11:30a
This is our quarterly Members luncheon and Business Meeting. The lunch is catered by Cindi Posey (donations are accepted to help cover the cost). After lunch, we will have a short activity and then our Business Meeting. We are usually done no later than 12:30p. All members are expected to attend, and all guests are welcome to stay and enjoy lunch and fellowship. Click the following link to see the Business Meeting Agenda.
CLASS 100: GETTING STARTED
NOTE THE DATE CHANGE TO: Aug 24, 1p
Sorry for the confusion, but I have a scheduling conflict, so the date is being moved. So, if you are interested in being a member of Southeast or just want to know about who we are, what we believe, and what we do, then this class is for you. The class will last for about an hour and a half and is limited in size, so please register online or sign up at the Welcome Center.
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
AUGUST
Portico Baby Shower – we will be collecting the following items for a baby shower on August 19. Anything gender specific should be for a girl.
BCM Welcome Week – August 22, 5p-12a: The BCM will be welcoming the students with a free pancake dinner. You can volunteer for a 2-hour shift (or as much as you want) to set up tables, make batter, cook, serve, collect trash, clean up and have conversations with students. Please let me know if you’d like to volunteer so I can sign you up.
SEPTEMBER:
BCM Pop Tarts – we will be collecting lots and lots of Pop Tarts to donate to the MTSU BCM. They use them in witnessing conversations with students on campus.
BCM Lunch: Sep 17, 11a-1p – Cindi Posey is heading this up. We need your help to set up, serve, interact with the students/staff and clean up.
OCTOBER:
Trunk or Treat Candy – we will need lots of candy to give out at our community Trunk or Treat event on October 26 from 4-6pm.
