SUNDAY WORSHIP

This Sunday we will continue our series Faith Explored. I think most Christian would say that they want to see the power of God. That they want to see God do something that only He can do. The Bible is full of examples of faithful people that witnessed God’s power. This week we will see when Jesus encountered the disciples on the raging sea during a storm. Sometimes to see God power, we’ve got to be willing to get out of the boat.
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Greenhouse Ministries Warehouse Refresh – Aug 30, 9a-12p. They need 200+ volunteers to rearrange the warehouse. Bring your work gloves and be prepared to sweat.
BCM Pop Tarts – we will be collecting lots and lots of Pop Tarts to donate to the MTSU BCM. They use them in witnessing conversations with students on campus.
BCM Lunch: Sep 17, 11a-1p – Cindi Posey is heading this up but we need your help to set up, serve, interact with the students/staff and clean up. Sign up at the Welcome Center to volunteer to help.
CALLED BUSINESS MEETING
Sep 7, following the worship time
A business meeting is scheduled for September 7, following the worship time, to elect the 2025-2026 Deacon Body. The agenda will focus solely on the motion to accept the following individuals as Deacons for the 2025-26 Church Calendar Year: David Hudson, Russ Hudson, Don Lance, Tim Musselman, Jerry Posey, Terry Robbins, Daniel Williams, and Gary Young. If Daniel Williams is approved as a Deacon, he will require ordination, and an ordination service will be arranged.

Come and enjoy an evening of worship through song. Featuring Chord of Three, Reunion and others. Afterward, we’ll have a dessert social. Invite your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and complete strangers to join you.
