Now Is the Time

Paul, writing to the church in Corinth, said, “Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2, NLT) Now’s the time. Not yesterday or tomorrow, but today. Our salvation is based on what Jesus did in the past, but our acceptance of God’s grace happens now—in the present. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, and so today, now, is the time for us to turn to God. The urgency of now is not because there is an important box on the to-do list to check off so we can move on. Now is an invitation to be present with God. To abide in Him and to constantly grow in our knowledge of and love for God and others. Now is the time to follow God’s leading and experience Him in a deeper way.
